It has been reported that Scientists from the University of Lyon [1] have discovered a way to split hydrogen gas from water, using rocks. The new method may promise a new green energy source, providing hydrogen from a simple mixture of water and rocks. The method uses low temperatures and involves no fossil fuel. This type of "greener chemistry" could promise a route to new sources of free energy at a lower cost. See the full report at bbc news [2]
